We have plastics machining experience ranging from parts manufactured from common materials such as acetal, polycarbonate, nylon, PVC, polypropylene, and polyethylene, to exotics such as PTFE (Trademarked Teflon® by Dupont), PFA, PVDF, and PEEK. Plastics are available (by request) dry machined (without the use of coolants) to avoid potential contamination issues in industries where this may be a concern.

Acrylics and polycarbonates are available in transparent and opaque versions and in some cases, various colors in each version. These parts, when machined properly, can with minimal effort, be polished to a glass like condition thus giving a transparent model of simple or complicated parts for a true "hands on" explanation of components.

We at White Knight have a vast amount of expertise in working with PTFE (Trademarked Teflon® by Dupont). With such an expertise, we have become quite renowned for our abilities to machine specialty bellows and diaphragms to exacting tolerances.

Larger components are also turned and milled. Secondary operations including fourth axis mill work are also performed.

One of the most fascinating uses of transparent acrylics and polycarbonates when machined, is their use in producing see-through versions of assemblies and machines. Actual working versions and scale models can be produced for a truly impressive sales tool. See-through working models made by us at White Knight have been shown in trade shows throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. We at White Knight are capable of forward or reverse engineering or working, see-through displays and models.
